Welcome to Raslouw Sub-Acute Hospital
We are a specialized healthcare facility that serves as a bridge between an acute care hospital and home, providing a lower-intensity, cost-effective level of care for patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. Our facility offer medical services, rehabilitation therapies, and ongoing support for patients who need more intensive care than a nursing home provides but do not require the high-intensity services of a traditional hospital. The primary goal is to help patients regain independence and prepare for a successful transition back to their homes.

Goal-oriented rehabilitation: We offer specialized services like physiotherapy, wound management, and respiratory therapy delivered by an interdisciplinary team.
Cost-effective: This type of care is a more cost-effective alternative to a prolonged acute hospital stay.
Focus on recovery: The main focus is on helping patients recover from complex conditions, injuries, or surgeries, such as strokes, brain injuries, or post-operative care.
Personalized plans: Care plans are tailored to the individual patient's needs, with a focus on maximizing functional independence.
